Try our breathing technique
The 4-7-8 breathing technique, developed to promote relaxation and stress reduction.
How it works
The 4-7-8 breathing technique is based on Pranayama, an ancient yogic practice of breath control. This simple yet powerful breathing exercise acts as a natural tranquilizer for the nervous system.
Inhale
Breathe in quietly through your nose for 4 seconds
Hold
Hold your breath for 7 seconds
Exhale
Exhale completely through your mouth for 8 seconds
Repeat
Repeat the cycle 6-7 times
Practice this technique at least twice daily for optimal results. You can use it whenever you feel stressed or anxious, or to help you fall asleep.
